Real-Time Transcription Setup
The real-time transcription feature in notigo helps you instantly capture and record conversations during meetings, ensuring no important information is missed. Here's how to set up real-time transcription step by step:
Before You Start
After registering and logging into notigo, ensure the following:
- Authorize Your Microphone:
- Allow microphone access when prompted by your browser or device.
- Select a High-Quality Microphone:
- Check that your audio input device is set correctly in your system settings, whether it's a built-in microphone or an external device.
Step 1: Enable Real-Time Transcription
- Automatic Activation:
- Real-time transcription is enabled by default when you open any document page.
- Default Display:
- Transcriptions are displayed in subtitle form below the AI assistant bar.
Common Issues:
- If transcription isn't showing up, check the following:
- Microphone: Ensure it's connected and functioning properly.
- Input: Speak clearly, as insufficient text may not trigger transcription.
- Background Noise: Avoid noisy environments for better results.
Step 2: Configure Transcription Language
- Default Language:
- The default input/output language is English.
- Change Language:
- To change the transcription language:
- Click the Settings button on the far right of the AI assistant bar.
- Choose your desired language from the 52 supported options.
Step 3: Explore Transcription Views
notigo provides three transcription display modes:
- Subtitle View:
- Transcriptions appear below the AI assistant bar in subtitle form.
- This is the default mode.
- Sidebar View:
- Transcriptions appear in the right-hand sidebar.
- Hover over the subtitles in default mode, click the Zoom Out icon, and the transcription will move to the sidebar.
- Hidden View:
- Hide subtitles entirely for a cleaner document.
- Click the Transcription Button on the AI assistant bar to toggle subtitles on or off.
